Happy Pi Day

Today was a once in a century day, 3/14/15 at 9:26:58 in the morning and evening (a "twofer" if you will) is exactly the first 10 digits of the magical number Pi.  These two nerdy moments in time will not happen again for a hundred years.  In honor of this irrational holiday, which also happens to be Albert Einstein's birthday, we celebrated with, you guessed it, pie.

We had sausage and egg pie for breakfast,

A pizza pie for dinner,

and a cherry pie for dessert.

I do hope that everyone had a wonderful Pi day.

Today's 3 Fun Facts:

     1.  Pi has been studied for over 4,000 years.
     2.  Pi has been calculated to 13 trillion digits and it does not repeat or end.
     3.  Pies have been eaten for over 4,000 years, with over 13 trillion served and they taste much better than Pi.

P.S. - It is also my niece's birthday today.  Happy birthday Carrie!
